Ann Alyanak-2005           

• From Bluffton, Oh       HS: state champ in high jump, 800M, and 1600M. 

• A 2001 graduate of Purdue University where she was a standout cross country and track runner.

• She was selected MVP of the cross country team all four years she competed,

• All-Region honors in 1999-2000.

• In track, she was an NCAA qualifier in the 10,000 meters after winning the Big Ten title as a senior.

• She also set the school record in the 5000 meters and placed second at the Big Ten Championship.

• Locally: 1^st Female DRCC ½ M in 2002, 2003, and 2004 and won numerous other local events.

• 10^th place in the 2005 USA 15K Championship
• 6^th in the 2005 USA 20K

• 1^st at the 2005 Ohio USATF 10K Championship

• 2002 Columbus Marathon: 1st American and 1st Ohioan

• She currently ranks 29^th among US women in the Road Race rankings
• Her personal bests are: 5K 16:19 (track) 16:36 (road); 10K 33:51 (track) 34:47 (road); 15K 52:54; 20K 1:11:30; 1/2 M 1:17:06; Marathon 2:48:04
• Alyanak was named head coach of the women's cross country program on May 6, 2004 and as an assistant track and field coach, working primarily with the distance runners.
• She is pursuing her master's degree in exercise science from UD. She resides in Beavercreek with her husband, Ed.
