• A 1981 graduate of Dayton Meadowdale High School

• As a runner, George Nicholas was the most prolific winner to ever come from Dayton, Ohio

George's Accomplishments

• High School

            State of Ohio OHSAA Cross Country champion in his sophomore, junior, and senior years

            Never lost a high school cross country race in his three years competing

            Established a record at every course he raced while in high school

            City champion in the mile, two mile on the track

• College

            Graduated from the University of North Carolina

            Atlantic Coast Conference Cross Country and 10K track champion

            Placed 3rd in the NCAA 5000 meter

• International Association of Athletics Federations (the I.A.A.F. is the world governing body for track and field)

            Twice while in high school represented the United States in this prestigious World Championship competition

            Twice while in college George again represented the United States in the I.A.A.F competition

• George is recently married and is a practicing attorney in Chapel Hill, NC
