Jack Lintz- 1996
- One of the top Ohio runners for many years

- Outstanding collegiate runner at Otterbein College,
where he was a three time NCAA qualifier in track and cross country posting
times of: 31:15-10K, 15:05-5K
- He is a longtime and extremely successful cross country
coach at Northmont High School whose boys team won the state championship in
1995
- His girls teams have won the league championship twice
and the boys team has won it an outstanding ten times
- He has also coached a number of individual champions
including the great Kristi Orre, who still holds a number of Ohio records. He
also coached Lincon Graves, to a 2nd place finish in the state, and
Lance Beck, to three All-Ohio selections
- He’s an excellent teacher who takes the long-term
approach with the athlete’s he coaches- a number of them have incorporated
running as a way of life and have not given up the sport after their
competitive days had finished
- In 1996 he received perhaps the greatest complement as
he was selected to carry the Olympic Torch as it made its way across Ohio
