• Director of the ORRRC’s Thanksgiving Day race, one of the areas largest                         running races
• The founding father and chief organizer of the Lou Cox Memorial Race which has become one of the area’s premier running events
• Gave his time and leadership to many other area races, including the Dayton River Corridor Classic which he served on the organizing committee for 10 years
• A top Masters and age-group performer as he won or placed highly in many prominent races throughout the country
• Professor at the University of Dayton, Department of Health and Sport Science.  A world renown educator and consultant on exercise physiology
