Performance Award Bonus:  

Win and break the American Record- $1000  for being an American citizen and winning the men's or women's race under the American Record: Currently Men 59:43 (Ryan Hall @ Houston, Jan. 14, 2007)  Women 67:34 (Denna Castor @ Berlin, April 2, 2006)

Endurance Sports Win and meet these standards- $500 Men: under 65 minutes, women under 73 minutes

Wheelchair Participants: Expanded divisions for men and women: T51, T52, T53, T54.

Directions: From I-75 exit on the Edwin Moses Blvd/Nicholas Rd exit 51, and turn toward UD arena.  Welcome Stadium is adjacent to UD Arena.  Lots of free parking at the Stadium  Map Quest Alternate route signs will be posted to accommodate the closure of the Stewart St bridge.

Packet Pick-up: Early packet pick-up is from 3:00-5:00 PM Saturday at The Marriott Courtyard and 7:30-8:30 AM, Sunday, October 12th at Welcome Stadium, home team side.  There will be separate areas under the stands for the 1/2 Marathon and for the 5K, so look for signs.

NEW COURSE:  Plenty of enjoyment on this flat, fast course with many refreshment stops and entertainment along the way.   The course runs across the new Washington Street Bridge over the Great Miami River along city streets and south toward Moraine using streets and the recreation trail.  A new turning point brings you back into Dayton.  Finish on the track at Welcome Stadium. 

The Dayton Amateur Radio Association monitors the course.

Medical Services provided by Kettering Sports Medicine Center

Multiple aid stations and entertainment all along the course. 

The start/finish area will also provide water, fluid replacement drink, and medical services.

Important Course Information: The course will be open until 12:00 noon.  If you are on the course after 12 noon you will be asked to move to the sidewalks and observe the traffic signals at intersections.

Walkers: This race is designed for runners. Walkers and power walkers should only participate if experienced and able to complete the half marathon distance in under three hours. On the day, we ask that walkers line up at the rear of the main race and that during the race you keep to the side and allow runners to pass.

Post Race!!!!!!  Celebrate your finish, cool down, grab a bit to eat, and socialize with your fellow 5K and 1/2 M runners.  All runners will be provided with a variety of refreshments. Early entry prize and race awards will be given at the party.
